A highly skilled Consultant Nephrologist and Assistant Professor of Nephrology at Bacha Khan Medical College and Mardan Medical Complex, Mardan.
He completed his MBBS from Khyber Medical University, Pakistan, in 2014. He further pursued a Fellowship in Nephrology (FCPS) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, which he completed in 2023, followed by a Fellowship in Glomerular Diseases from the World Kidney Academy, USA, in 2024.
Dr. Najmusaqib has extensive professional experience in nephrology. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Nephrology at Mardan Medical Complex, a role he began in 2024. Previously, he worked as a Registrar in Nephrology at Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar, from 2022 to 2024, where he gained substantial experience in managing complex nephrology cases. His journey in nephrology began with a Nephrology Residency at Khyber Teaching Hospital from 2018 to 2021, following his earlier residency in Internal Medicine at Mardan Medical Complex from 2016 to 2018.
Dr. Najmusaqib’s clinical expertise spans a wide range of nephrology disciplines. He is proficient in managing glomerular diseases, as well as hypertension and diabetes-related kidney problems. He is highly skilled in addressing chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression, treating acute kidney injury (AKI) in critical care settings, and managing both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients. Furthermore, he has substantial experience in renal transplant management and performing nephrology procedures such as kidney biopsies (native and graft kidney), dialysis catheter insertions (temporary and tunneled), and peritoneal dialysis catheter insertation.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Najmusaqib has authored 10 national and international research publications, focusing on areas such as glomerular diseases, dialysis outcomes, and chronic kidney disease. He is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and an active member of the Pakistan Society of Nephrology and the World Kidney Academy, USA. He regularly participates in national and international nephrology conferences and research initiatives, contributing significantly to advancements in nephrology.
